About the Doctor

Dr. Nicolas Muruve received his medical degree from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. He holds a license to practice medicine in Florida and Missouri. Dr. Muruve completed his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital. He completed his specialization in urology at the University of Manitoba Health Sciences Center. He was appointed to the Cleveland Clinic in 2003. Dr. Nicolas Muruve is an assistant physician in the urology department located at Cleveland Clinic Florida Campus, Weston, Fla. In 2004, he served as Director of Renal Transplantation at Columbia University, Missoiri. Prior to that, he completed a research fellowship and a kidney transplant/renal-vascular fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. 

Dr. Muruve is the principal investigator of numerous research trials. He has contributed to medical textbooks and journals in his field. He has made presentations at conferences and seminars in the United States and Canada. Dr. Muruve is a fellow of the American Association of Transplant Physicians, the American Urological Association, and the Canadian Society of Urology. He has received the Excellence in Health Education Award from the University of Missouri Health Sciences for the second year in a row.

Dr. Nicolas Muruve's special interests include genitourinary oncology, adrenal tumors, renal transplantation, kidney cancer, kidney stones, benign prostate enlargement, and PSA screening.
