About the Doctor
Dr. Thota received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences at Gandhi Medical School in Pradesh, India. Dr. Thota completed his residency in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City. She then completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Thota holds board certification in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Prashanthi Thota is a Staff Member in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Director of Barret's Center of Excellence at the Cleveland Clinic. He also serves as the Director of the Center for Swallowing and Motility Disorders. Dr. Thota's area of expertise is the management of disorders of Achalasia, Barrett's, GERD and esophageal motility.
